Luis Davila (Director and Co-founder)
Hello, I’m Luis. I have more than thirty years of sales and business development experience gained working in various industries including Education, Freight Transportation, Aerospace and Food Manufacturing Equipment. I graduated in Public Relations and Organisational Communication from the University of Nuevo Leon in my native Monterrey (Mexico) in 1988 and moved to the beautiful valleys of South Wales in the UK in December 2000 with my family. I love sales because of the interaction with people and the chance to learn from, and adapt to, many different styles of doing business. The core of my strategy at GOLD and with everything I do in the commercial world is simple: we are here to understand what value means to customers, and to make sure we supply it, improving whatever processes we have to in order to achieve that.
When not working on all sorts of things GOLD, I play guitar and listen to music. I am a keen reader of History and I like watching sports on TV as well. My favourite sport is football and I have recently taken up golf as a new hobby too.
Garry Owen (IT Director and Co-founder)
Hello, I’m Garry. I have worked in Director level IT roles for more than a decade. I love everything technology based and I am also an author of fiction novels and computer coding books. Learn How 2 is one of many projects I have had the pleasure of managing and helping to build.
My focus is very much in line with GOLD Software Solutions' Vision, whereby as a team we create industry leading software at a price that is within reach of all. Julie Davila (Education and Content Quality Controller)
Hello, my name is Julie, and I have worked in teaching and training roles, both for schools and private training providers, for over 25 years. I am also a certified Internal Quality Assurer. At LH2 it is my main aim to ensure that all courses posted are of good quality and that they provide a great educational and learning advantage for our students. I make sure that all our courses are quality checked and approved before they are published.
I love hiking, there is no better way to know the surrounding countryside. I recently adopted a lovely greyhound who now joins me on my walks sometimes. I also belong to a circuit training class and I love exercising in general. I like listening to music, drawing, reading and I have also done countless puzzles during the lockdown!
